| Summary, etc. | El espectacular desarrollo de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) durante las últimas dos décadas ha traído consigo profundos cambios en la disponibilidad de información; en las potencialidades derivadas de su generación, almacenamiento y tratamiento; y en las posibilidades de su difusión y distribución. De manera paralela, el desarrollo de la llamada "sociedad de la información" o "sociedad en red" (Castells, 2012; Subirats, 2011) se caracteriza por la aparición y consolidación de nuevas formas de organización social, donde una ciudadanía crecientemente crítica e interconectada demanda nuevas esferas de actuación e influencia sobre las políticas públicas, en un marco donde la información puede generarse, transformarse, reutilizarse y difundirse desde distintos nodos, en redes policéntricas crecientemente interconectadas. |
