| Summary, etc. | Los sistemas nacionales de salud y los cuidados a largo plazo se enfrentaron incluso antes del COVID-19 a un desafío sin precedentes con respecto al envejecimiento progresivo de la población en la UE. El aumento del número de personas mayores ha ido aumentando la demanda de servicios de salud y de cuidados a largo plazo lo que, a su vez, ha generado una demanda creciente de mano de obra calificada en salud. Solo en el período 2018-2030, la EU necesitará 10,9 millones de trabajadores sanitarios y cuidadores recién formados o importados para satisfacer la creciente demanda en los sectores de la salud. |
