El Índice Global de Brecha de Género 2022 compara compara el estado actual y la evolución de la paridad de género de 146 países en cuatro dimensiones clave (Oportunidad y Participación Económica, Logro Educativo, Salud y Supervivencia, y Empoderamiento Político). Algunas de las conclusiones son: 1) La brecha global de género se ha cerrado en un 68,1%. Al ritmo actual de progreso, se necesitarán 132 años para alcanzar la paridad total 2) La brecha de género en salud y supervivencia se ha cerrado en un 95,8 %, el logro educativo en un 94,4 %, la participación económica y las oportunidades en un 60,3 % y el empoderamiento político en un 22 % 3) Las 10 principales economías han cerrado al menos el 80 % de sus brechas de género, con Islandia (90,8 %) a la cabeza del ranking mundial, seguido de Finlandia (86 %, 2°), Noruega (84,5 %, 3°) y Suecia (82,2 %) 4) La comparación de los resultados de este año con los del año pasado al examinar los 145 países cubiertos en las ediciones de 2021 y 2022 muestra que el puntaje general de paridad de género aumentó del 67,9% al 68,1%. El subíndice de Oportunidad y Participación Económica también aumentó de 58,7% a 60,3%, al igual que el subíndice de Salud y Supervivencia de 95,7% a 95,8%. El subíndice de logros educativos cayó del 95,2 % al 94,4 %, mientras que el empoderamiento político se mantuvo igual, en el 22 %. |
