| Summary, etc. | On the energy intensity of road transport in the presence of Connected and Automated Mobility analiza cómo las tecnologías de movilidad conectada y automatizada (CAM) pueden influir en el consumo energético del transporte por carretera en Europa. Su objetivo es ofrecer una evaluación científica rigurosa que oriente las decisiones políticas en el marco de la transición hacia un sistema de transporte más eficiente y sostenible.<br/><br/>Se aplican modelos de simulación detallados que permiten comparar diferentes escenarios de penetración de vehículos automatizados, evaluando factores como velocidad media, congestión, patrones de uso y emisiones. El informe también tiene en cuenta la interacción entre vehículos conectados, infraestructuras inteligentes y hábitos de conducción. A lo largo del análisis, se contrastan condiciones actuales frente a futuros posibles con niveles altos de automatización.<br/><br/>El estudio concluye que los efectos de la CAM sobre la intensidad energética dependen en gran medida de su implementación técnica y del comportamiento de los usuarios. Una automatización no acompañada de políticas de movilidad sostenible podría aumentar la demanda de transporte y, con ello, el consumo energético. En cambio, combinada con electrificación y medidas regulatorias adecuadas, la CAM tiene el potencial de mejorar significativamente la eficiencia energética del transporte por carretera. |
