| Summary, etc. | El vínculo necesario entre la sostenibilidad y las tecnologías emergentes analiza cómo la sostenibilidad turística requiere un enfoque integral que combine economía, sociedad y medioambiente con apoyo tecnológico. Partiendo de los retos del turismo actual —masificación, gentrificación y presión sobre los recursos—, el artículo repasa la evolución del concepto de sostenibilidad, desde su formulación en el informe Brundtland hasta su actual integración en políticas públicas y estrategias empresariales. Se defiende la necesidad de aplicar el modelo de la quíntuple hélice (educación, economía, política, sociedad y medioambiente) como base para transformar el turismo en una actividad equilibrada, resiliente y generadora de valor local.<br/><br/>La segunda parte del texto explora cómo las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC), el Big Data, la inteligencia artificial, el Internet de las Cosas y los sistemas de gestión avanzados están impactando la cadena de valor turística. Se presentan casos de éxito en España como plataformas de reservas inteligentes, redes de participación ciudadana, sistemas de señalización turística digital, uso de beacons, asistentes virtuales y monitorización energética hotelera. También se destacan proyectos como “Turicleta”, “PlayasInteligentes”, “5G CityBrain Granada” o el teleférico solar del Teide. Estas soluciones demuestran que la tecnología puede mejorar la eficiencia operativa, reducir el impacto ambiental, enriquecer la experiencia del visitante y fomentar el desarrollo territorial responsable.<br/><br/>En conclusión, el artículo afirma que las tecnologías emergentes no son por sí solas garantes de sostenibilidad, pero sí constituyen herramientas estratégicas si se gestionan con ética, planificación y participación. Para ello es imprescindible fomentar la alfabetización digital, garantizar la privacidad y transparencia en el uso de datos, e involucrar a todos los actores en la toma de decisiones. El turismo sostenible del futuro dependerá de la capacidad colectiva de conectar innovación y propósito, equilibrando crecimiento, bienestar y conservación del entorno. |
