| Summary, etc. | El European 5G Observatory presenta la evolución de los indicadores de despliegue, inversión y adopción del 5G en la UE-27, alineados con los objetivos de la Década Digital 2030. A finales de 2024, la cobertura 5G alcanzaba el 92% de los hogares europeos y el 83% del territorio, con una fuerte disparidad rural (solo 65% de cobertura en zonas rurales). Los países más avanzados son España, Finlandia, Italia y Alemania, mientras que en el sudeste europeo persisten retrasos por falta de espectro y limitaciones de inversión. El informe mide 54 indicadores agrupados en seis áreas: cobertura, infraestructura, espectro, disponibilidad, inversión y uso .<br/><br/>El despliegue de estaciones base creció un 38% anual, impulsado por el uso de bandas medias (3,4–3,8 GHz) y bajas (700 MHz). La inversión en redes 5G representa ya el 67 % del total del gasto móvil, con un ratio del 14% sobre ingresos. Sin embargo, el 5G autónomo solo está plenamente disponible en 20 Estados miembros. En términos de adopción, el 54% de las SIM activas ya son 5G, con un crecimiento sostenido de la banda ancha móvil y los servicios industriales conectados .<br/><br/>El Observatorio subraya que el siguiente reto será garantizar sostenibilidad y equidad en el acceso, incorporando edge computing, redes privadas y compartición de infraestructuras. Para alcanzar los objetivos de 2030, la Comisión Europea recomienda acelerar las licitaciones de espectro, reforzar la cooperación público-privada y fomentar la innovación en sectores como salud, transporte y energía. El 5G se consolida como la columna vertebral de la competitividad digital europea.<br/> |
