| Summary, etc. | La Comisión Europea ha concedido por primera vez el estatus de Instalación de Producción Integrada (IPF, Integrated Production Facility) y Fundición Abierta de la UE (OEF, Open EU Foundry) a cuatro proyectos de semiconductores, marcando un avance clave en la aplicación de la Ley Europea de Chips (European Chips Act). Esta designación refuerza la autonomía estratégica y la seguridad de suministro del ecosistema europeo de semiconductores, al ofrecer apoyo administrativo prioritario, agilización de permisos y acceso preferente a líneas piloto de la iniciativa Chips for Europe.<br/><br/>Las IPF integran todo el ciclo productivo —desde diseño hasta empaquetado—, mientras que las OEF destinan parte de su capacidad a fabricar para terceros, fortaleciendo la resiliencia de las cadenas globales. Los proyectos aprobados son: ESMC (Alemania), alianza entre TSMC, Bosch, Infineon y NXP; Ams-OSRAM (Austria); Infineon Technologies Dresden (Alemania); y STMicroelectronics (Italia). Todos han recibido apoyo estatal y aplicarán tecnologías avanzadas, como FinFET y carburo de silicio (SiC), en procesos energéticamente eficientes.<br/><br/>El informe concluye que esta medida constituye un paso decisivo hacia una soberanía tecnológica europea, al reducir la dependencia de proveedores externos y consolidar la capacidad industrial en microelectrónica, clave para la transición digital, energética y de defensa.<br/> |
