  <abstract>The report notes that frontier technologies are key tools to combat climate change and highlights the potential of eight of them to meet Sustainable Development Goal 13 (Climate Action). From reducing emissions in cities to reducing the risk of natural disasters, smart water management and accurate climate monitoring, frontier technologies show considerable potential to support the battle to combat climate change. The eight technologies or fields of innovation that the report investigates are: artificial intelligence; Internet of things; 5G; clean energy technologies; digital twins; robotics; space technologies 2.0; and digitization and big data.</abstract>
