Estudio realizado para la Comisión Europea

La industria del software es una de las industrias más dinámicas. Como principal diferenciador industrial y la base para una gama creciente de innovaciones, el software puede aumentar significativamente la competitividad industrial de Europa y contribuir en gran medida al crecimiento de Europa. Pero con las nuevas oportunidades ha surgido una gama de desafíos que las compañías de software deben cumplir. En este contexto, y en nombre de la Comisión Europea, el consorcio del proyecto compuesto por Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC), Le CXP y Fraunhofer ISI ha (una vez más) estudiado más de cerca la industria europea de software y servicios relacionados y su economía e impacto social. El equipo del proyecto i) muestra el crecimiento actual y futuro esperado y la estructura del mercado europeo de software y servicios de TI; ii) esculpe el impacto económico y / o social actual y potencial futuro de la industria europea de software y servicios de TI específicamente en Europa; iii) identifica y describe los factores clave para el crecimiento y la competitividad de la industria; iv) toma una mirada específica sobre el alcance y la función del desarrollo de software interno; yv) deriva recomendaciones de política para eliminar barreras y fomentar el desarrollo de la industria europea del software.

The software industry is one of the most dynamic industries. As a prime industrial differentiator and the basis for a growing range of innovations, software can significantly increase Europe’s industrial competitiveness and largely contribute to Europe’s growth. But with new opportunities has come a range of challenges that software companies must meet. Against this background, and on behalf of the European Commission, the project consortium consisting of Pierre Audoin Consultants (PAC), Le CXP and Fraunhofer ISI has (again) taken a closer look at the European software and software-related services industry and its economic and social impact. The project team i) shows the current and expected future growth and structure of the European software and IT services market; ii) carves out the current and potential future economic and/or social impact of the European software and IT services industry specifically on Europe; iii) identifies and describes the key drivers for the industry’s growth and competitiveness; iv) takes a specific look at the extent and role of in-house software development; and v) derives policy recommendations to remove barriers and foster the development of the European software industry.
