The workshop successfully brought together experts from the manufacturing domain to discuss the exploitation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in manufacturing which is a hot topic at national and European levels. The workshop provided insights into: *How research and innovation projects and European/International activities are already addressing AI for Manufacturing. * The needs and requirements for AI from the point of view of manufacturers (differentiating between factory floor requirements, supply chain management requirements, etc.). * The state of the art, i.e. how today’s solutions address the current needs and what will be the future requirements that will allow AI to be better integrated into existing systems. The event also provided networking opportunities for participants to discuss the call for proposals on topic ICT-38-2020 on Artificial Intelligence for Manufacturing
