| Summary, etc. | El informe analiza cómo la inteligencia artificial generativa (GenAI) está transformando la investigación científica en Europa, especialmente tras la aparición de ChatGPT en 2022. Desde entonces, las menciones a chatbots en artículos científicos han crecido trece veces, con mayor presencia en las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC), las Ciencias Aplicadas y la Medicina. La GenAI se usa principalmente para redactar, revisar y procesar datos, lo que mejora la productividad y democratiza la publicación científica, en particular entre investigadores no nativos en inglés.<br/><br/>Sin embargo, el documento advierte sobre riesgos éticos y de integridad académica: el uso no declarado de herramientas de IA puede afectar la confianza, la autoría y la transparencia de los resultados. Solo un 8% de los estudios aborda las implicaciones éticas, frente al 95% que se centra en la aplicación o redacción. Además, se identifican carencias en las políticas de las editoriales científicas, que difieren en la forma de permitir, reconocer o restringir el uso de GenAI en los manuscritos.<br/><br/>La Comisión Europea propone establecer definiciones comunes, políticas y guías sobre el uso responsable de la IA generativa en la investigación. También recomienda incluir declaraciones explícitas en los artículos, fortalecer la alfabetización digital y adaptar las normas éticas a la rápida evolución tecnológica para garantizar la calidad y credibilidad del conocimiento científico.<br/> |
